Kim’s work with Delta Family Resource Centre is rooted in one simple philosophy: meet the entrepreneur where they are, then help them build from there.

As the dedicated one-on-one business coach within Delta’s AWA Business Hub & Business Incubator Program, Kim works with entrepreneurs during Tier 3, the final 6-month phase of their year-long entrepreneurship journey. Participants meet with Kim virtually each week for highly personalized coaching centred entirely around the realities of their business.

There’s no one-size-fits-all formula. Every entrepreneur enters Tier 3 at a different stage, with different strengths, challenges, industries, resources, and goals. Kim takes the time to understand what each participant has already built, identify what may be holding them back, and determine the most practical next steps to help move their business forward.

With a diverse background spanning entrepreneurship, branding, business management, marketing, PR, digital strategy, and creative industries, Kim’s able to pivot from one business model to another and tailor each session accordingly. One entrepreneur may need help formalizing their business and pricing, while another may be developing their brand, refining their marketing strategy, building a website, preparing for funding opportunities, creating systems, expanding their network, or figuring out how to attract and convert more customers.

Areas of support can include: business registration, insurance, business models, pricing, brand development, marketing plans, websites, social media, financing and grant applications, networking, customer acquisition, systems and processes, expansion opportunities, and real-time business problem solving.

More than anything, Kim uses the 6-months to help participants turn what they’ve learned throughout the AWA program into ACTION. The goal is for each entrepreneur to leave Tier 3 with greater clarity, stronger business foundations, practical strategies they can continue implementing, and INCREASED CONFIDENCE in their ability to move forward independently.

Kim brings a personable, relatable, and hands-on approach to EVERY session. She doesn’t try to mould entrepreneurs into someone else’s definition of success. She helps them strengthen the entrepreneur they already are and build toward the business they want to create.
